Let’s go down memory lane.
We’re on our Methods of Research subject with Ma’am Mercado that day when she instructed us to form a group. She informed us na the group that we will be forming will be our permanent group sa paggawa ng thesis.
Ok, we had our group na. Here are my group mates:
1. Arlyn Rose Apistar
2. Cherrie Abalos
3. Sharon Escover
4. Celly Pon-an
5. Jesica Petre
6. Lorie Joy Saliva
That time, all of us are so clueless of what topic to bring up. Napakarami naming revisions na ginawa before we come-up to a topic that we will tackle until we finish our final defense.
We decided to create a study about the Mental Ability and Multiple Intelligences of college students who belong to university’s President’s List and Dean’s List in a specific semester. We want to know the difference of that two factors and how it affects the performance of our honor students.
After all of topic revisions, Ma’am Mercado asked us to have a thesis adviser. We hurriedly went to Guidance Office to talk to Ma’am Saul, our Psychometrician and requested her to guide us in doing our study. In all fairness to Ma’am Saul, she didn’t give us a hard time in convincing her to be our adviser.
Dito na nag-umpisa ang delubyo ng grupo. Naranasan rin namin dito ang sinasabing the hardest part of college life is on our third year. Totoo, mahirap. Mahirap pero masaya kasi nga we are all friends formed in a group.
So we decided na wala ng maging leader. So we ended up mandating each other. Tama ba guys?
• sa distribution of responsibilities.
• sa paghahagilap at pagmamakaawa sa mga honor students to take the tests that we prepared for them.
• in researching related studies.
• in computing the data that we gathered.
• sa pagta-type. Mabagal kasi kaming mag-type lahat.
Pero we always ended up eating pancit canton, kanin lamig at ang paborito naming mango flavored juice.
• sa biglaang pagback-out ni Ma’am Saul as our thesis adviser. Nakuha na pala sya ng other group. Sobrang nawala kami sa sirkulasyon that time because wala kaming malapitan. At the end, we chose Ma’am Fulgado. That time, she was newly hired as our new OSA chairperson. Hindi namin sya malapitan during the time na kailangan namin sya. Wooooooooh! Bitter!!!
Final Defense. That’s when we were on our first semester of our forth year. A couple of days before the defense, nagkaroon pa ng problema ang grupo dahil nagalit sa amin si Lorie. Napagkasunduan kasi ng grupo without informing her na sya ang kailangang gumawa ng powerpoint presentation na gagamitin namin sa final defense. She got mad when we informed her about that. As in nagalit talaga sya. Even her sister got mad at us. Nagworry pa kami for her kasi she’s pregnant that time.
Naging smooth ang deliberation ng findings ng study until one of the panelists asked a question. Damn! More than 10 minutes din kaming sumalang sa defense.
Iba ang pakiramdam paglabas namin sa Room 110. Worth it lahat ang pagod namin.
As time went by, pinabookbind na namin ang resulta ng aming pinagpaguran. Hindi ko na rin nakita ang finish product because I was undergoing my On-The-Job Training when we submitted it. Hindi na naman importante yun. What’s important is we successfully done our best for our study.
You? How’s your thesis experience? Care to share.

Dedicated to my thesis groupmates.
